Ariba was bred by Jennifer McDonald. She
is out of Dam: ADCH MACH Zima On Blue Ice CD, "Zima" and
Sire:
As usual all of my dogs have nicknames and her is "Pup-Pup". The reason for this nickname is because she had no name for the first week of her life with us. We then came up with Ariba which then transformed itself into "Aribadercie" for her just kick ass and go attitude out in the agility ring. Another nickname is "Princess" since she thinks she has the presence and looks of Princess Diana. Being a somewhat smaller Border Collie, she thought she should have a *BIG* nickname and the one she picked was "Cujo", to which she barks to.
Ariba's Motto: FAST is Fun!!!!!!!!! Aribadercie and Chow Baby!

Ariba - The Princess Flawless Jumping Style
Ariba is quite the princess, regal in her looks and loves to pose for photos. She has a great temperament and the zest to perform at any task that I ask of her. We have many adventures to look forward.
Ariba's alternate favorite sports are:
Playing ball.
Looking cute and hanging out of the van window at drive ups trying to get
treats.
Choice of cars to drive would be an Italian Maserati!!!
Tracking Adventures
Our first venture into dog sports was to obtain her Tracking Dog degree. She was 10 months old when she obtained this title. We had a difficult time getting into a Tracking Test. We had entered in 5 different tests and finally were accepted into the 5th test. It had an entry limit of 10 dogs and we were chosen as the 10th participant. At the tracking test we were chosen to run the 10th track of the day. Ariba's collar color is royal blue, befitting her princess status. What a surprise to find out that our starting stake flag was also royal blue. This was a good omen I thought. Usually for a TD track the age of the track is generally 30-45 minutes old. Her track was a hour and 5 minutes old when we started. It was 90 degrees with no wind, which actually made the track older in the sense of track scent and a little more difficult. Ariba didn't seem to notice this as she flew down her track and finished it about 6 minutes to find the glove. Ariba completed her TD on 6-6-1999. Read the whole story and interesting Paul Harvey type story for that day. Fate or just coincidence?

Ariba's TDX
BCSA Report written by Jacqui Hoye
The Border Collie Society of America Tracking Dog Excellent test was held on November 16, 2003 at Willow River State Park in Hudson Wisconsin. John and Darlene Barnard were the very competent judges who created challenging yet fair tracks for the exhibitors to run. There were 6 Border Collies competing in this test.
Track 6 was drawn by Cindy Brick with CH MACH4 Topshelf Pizzazz TD, CDX "Ariba". We didn't have to wait long to find the results. Ariba was sure it was a timed event just like agility and took off at full speed. They flew through the track in less than 10 minutes finding all of the articles with Cindy falling (of course none of us were able to see this since she was SO far ahead of us) and earning "PASS" #3 for the day!
So over all the test was a great success. 50% pass rate is AWESOME! The normal pass rate for a TDX test is about 18%! Way to go Border Collies!

AKC Conformation / Breed Showing
Our next adventure was to show her in AKC Conformation . This was a new challenge for myself as I have never shown any dog in the breed ring. Well....how hard can it be to run around the ring and have the dog stand there and look pretty. Believe it or not it does take some amount of training. She was shown in the breed ring 12 times and only in 3 of these shows she did not place as Winner's Bitch. She also had 5 BOS (Best of Opposite Sex) wins also. Ariba finished her Championship title on September 26, 1999. She was almost 14 months old. The worst thing about showing in conformation is that I had to wear a dress! For Cindy dressing up is wearing something other than sweat pants and a T-shirt.

Agility
Agility was our next game to play. Ariba has tremendous drive, consistency and speed which has let us breeze through her agility titles. She has a great jumping style and rarely knocks a bar which is unusual for a Border Collie with speed..
